The Commission is evaluating how MiCA's technical definitions, reporting requirements, asset classification thresholds, and interoperability provisions are working in practice. This feedback window locks in what revisions or clarifications the EU will prioritize in future amendments. The Ethereum and web3 community can supply working evidence on how smart contracts, tokenization, and DLT systems are operating under current rules, identify regulatory friction points, and propose technical improvements to settlement and data schemas that regulators may have underestimated.
EEA should coordinate a member submission to the EC's Have Your Say portal addressing: (1) how Ethereum-based asset issuance and stablecoin mechanisms map to MiCA classifications, (2) gaps or ambiguities in technical standards for DLT interoperability, (3) real-world evidence on reserve attestation and on-chain verifiability, and (4) recommendations for settlement modernization. Engagement should be filed before the August 20 deadline.
